I was no fan of the late Dr. George Tiller’s work, but his murder was no less tragic for it. A crazy man ran into his church and fired a single shotgun blast into the Doctor. After this reprehensible act, the media went nuts with calling it an act of terrorism.

Well now the left has made it official, as they will close down Tiller’s clinic. What message does that send to the next round of wackos? It seems there no courageous doctors on the left who will continue the work of George Tiller. Is this business of late term abortions losing steam? With the lack of a doctor to step into Tiller’s shoes, the left has made this event a de facto terrorist act, as they are now terrorized into surrender. Sadly, the left has spun this tale into a cudgel to use against their political opponents, cheapening the sincerity of their cause. They say anti-abortion opponents use inflammatory language, yet the act of carving up an eight month old fetus is not inflammatory at all.

There are only two reasons to close Tiller’s clinic; Either the left cannot produce a Doctor to continue these procedures, or the movement itself is losing ground.
