If you haven’t seen the videos of Erika Winchester freaking out on a postal worker, get ready for some crazy. She calls the African-American postal worker the N-word and slaps him. The police say he declined to press charges and The Smoking Gun has some previous cases about her conduct.
Why is this on this blog? Because in all of the comments there are references to her being a “Teabagger” or a Republican, conservative, etc… Somehow, I don’t think this will pan out.
Volvo driving former actresses who appeared in Robert Redford films and have NPR and local news channels as clients, while being right-wingers, are in short supply today. If it helps middle-aged liberals get through the day to declare their carbon copies Teabaggers, then let them have it, they are still in denial over the election, so they can only handle so much denial at once.
Though it is almost a year later I just want to add my two cents. What this woman did and said to the USPS man were wrong. Whether she is a liberal, conservative, radical, anarchist etc it really doesn’t matter. What matters is this woman at one time in her life was highly functioning and had enough talent to be taken seriously, and now is obviously very mentally ill. She has lost her husband, car, employment, and reputation. She apparently hasn’t anyone close enough to help her. She is in denial, she evidently doesn’t know how ill she really is. It may, unfortunately, take her seriously hurting herself or someone else before the authorities step in and commit her to a psychiatric facility. People should show a little more empathy for their fellow humans.
